This book was born in the wake of the exhibition Les pas du silence, presented at Prieuré Saint-Cosme, near Tours, until November 1, 2026.

It grew out of the encounter between a place steeped in the memory of Pierre de Ronsard and the artistic world of Charles Belle. From this connection came the desire for a text. Rather than taking a critical or biographical approach, however, Guy Boley chose the path of poetic fiction. He imagines a conversation across the centuries between the painter and the poet, in an imagined closeness.
